PEGGY HOWARD MOORE

OWNER & TEACHER

Yoga has been a part of Peggy’s life, off and on, for about 16 years. As co-owner of the studio with her daughter, Eb, Peggy originally used Hatha Yoga as cross training for sports such as running, race-walking, biking, swimming, and triathlons. Yoga was ancillary to her athletic life—a natural option for improving her strength and flexibility—but she had never considered it an endeavor in its own right until she suffered a knee injury. Yoga was suggested to her as a way to build stability in her knee and increase her general physical strength. Peggy soon noticed that, besides the rehabilitative benefits, yoga provided her with an overall feeling of content, relaxation and wellbeing. She decided to learn more about yoga and sought out ways to deepen her practice. Peggy completed her 200 hour RYT & 500 RYT yoga teacher training in Power Vinyasa, Yin Yoga and an additional certification to teach Meditation, Yoga Nidra, and Hot/Bikram style yoga from Inner Fire Yoga in Madison, WI. She has completed Baptiste Yoga 200-hour yoga teacher training. She is an E-200 RYT and an RYT-500. Peggy has a bachelor’s and masters in social work and master’s level business training from the University of Wisconsin and is a retired corporate finance and operations executive. She also provides executive and personal coaching and is a gifted musician and artist of portraits, landscape and still-life painting. Peggy’s caring approach will help students access many yoga benefits such as increased stamina, strength, flexibility, pain management, weight-loss and an inner glow. You can experience the magical sounds of her flutes in all of her classes. According to Peggy, “yoga is the only fountain of youth I know.”
